Ingredients
-
1 cartoon of Strawberries
-
1 package of milk chocolate Ghirardelli melting wafers
-
1 package of white chocolate Ghirardelli melting wafers
Directions
Wash strawberries and set aside. They must be 100% dry before you dip them into the chocolate. Place a sheet of parchment paper on a cookie sheet and set aside.
Create a double boiler. If you don’t have one, place a larger pan over a smaller one so that it is resting on top. Place about 1-2 inches of water in the pan on the bottom. The top pan should not touch the water below it.
Once the water is boiling, add the milk chocolate wafers into the top pan and stir so that it doesn’t burn. Keep a close eye on the pan and turn the heat down on your stove if needed.
Dip the dry strawberries into the chocolate and place on the parchment covered cookie sheet to dry.
Once all of the strawberries have been done, clean out the top pan and then melt the white chocolate the same way. Decorate the strawberries. If you want to create the football “laces” - put the white chocolate into a piping bag OR a sandwich bag with a corner cut off and pipe onto the strawberries. I wait a little while for the white chocolate to cool so that it isn’t as runny.
Place finished pan into the freezer until you are ready to eat!
