Have you ever made crab legs? It is so much easier than you may be thinking! Fun fact: Crab legs from your local sea food area of the grocery store are already cooked and flash frozen. So the only thing you need to do is to defrost them and warm them up! We have a fun tradition of having crab legs every year on Valentine's Day to make them special - but they could be fun for a birthday or anniversary or other celebration. Here is how we like to eat them:
Crab Legs
4 sets of crab legs, (or King Crab Legs)
Garlic Salt
Butter
Salt
-Bring water to a boil in a large saucepan that the crab legs can fit inside of. Add garlic salt to water, (you could also use Old Bay Seasoning here....my kids just don't like that taste).
-Put a lid over the crab legs and boil/steam for up to five minutes. Flip half-way through.
-Pick up crab legs with tongs and hold over water for the excess water in the legs to drain out.
-Place on serving tray.
-Place butter in a butter warmer and salt to taste.
-Crack open crab legs and dip in salted butter.
