We started our day driving from our hotel area in Ko Olina over to Ahuimanu to see the breathtaking Byodo-In Temple. It is nestled in a peaceful valley and this Japanese-inspired temple is a haven of tranquility.

Stroll through lush gardens, marvel at the giant Buddha statue, and soak in the serene vibes.

It is fun to run the sacred bell for good luck! Before you leave, browse the gift shop for unique souvenirs or grab a snack to fuel your day.

Next, cruise up the road to Tropical Farms, Oahu's macadamia nut haven!

Did you know it takes 300 pounds of pressure per square inch to crack a macadamia nut?

Let your kids channel their inner Hulk by smashing nuts with rocks - it's a blast! The farm's free-roaming chickens will happily gobble up the flying nut bits.

Sample delicious macadamia nut treats and take home some goodies for later.
Stop at 7 Brothers for lunch. They have delicious burgers, yummy fries and awesome shakes. Plus - they are only 2 minutes away from your next destination!

Cap off your day at the Polynesian Cultural Center, (PCC), a vibrant celebration of Polynesian Culture! This isn't just a stop - it's an experience.

Explore "villages" representing islands like Hawaii, Samoa, and Tonga through hands-on activities, lively demonstrations, and captivating shows.

Get a Polynesian tattoo - it washes right off with water but it's pretty fun for the day!

Lots of other crafts/experiences. We learned how early Polynesians made designs on fabric and made our own.

There are also fun games to play! This ones was in Tahiti and they had to slide the stone and not have it fall off the end.

Feast at the evening. luau (think kale pork and tropical desserts!) and don't miss the jaw-dropping night show, Ha: Breath of Life.

Your ticket includes 2 days of access, so you can spread out the fun. We've even used our second day before catching a re-eye flight home! If you purchased the luau and the show, that is not included on the second day but you can go back to the different islands and see the shows and do all the activities. Take it slow, soak it all in, and make memories that last a lifetime.
