We were shocked at how many really fun animal activities you can go on in Aruba! My teens all thought these were incredibly fun and entertaining - and little kids would have loved them as well. As adults, my husband and I thought they were great - so they are activities the whole family will love! Here are my top 4:
1) Aruba's Bee Haven:
This family-owned bee farm offers morning tours where you’ll learn about honey-making. We got to taste test different kinds of honey and learn all about the process of how the bees create it.
Then they got bee suits for each of us and we walked out to visit the hives. It was a little crazy being so close to a beehive and having the buzzing around you! But we loved seeing the process up close, (they even found a queen in one of the hives to show to us!) and we even got to hold a honeycomb!

I would suggest that people definitely add this tour onto their Aruba experience! We felt safe, no one was stung and the honey we tried was very delicious. Plus - you can purchase more honey at the end if you want!
2. Second on our list is the Ostrich Farm!

Here you will take a guided tour through their ostrich pens and get a chance to feed these crazy creatures—they’re so fun to see up close and they are so much taller than you think!
You can even eat an ostrich omelet in their cafe if you order it ahead of time.
3. Next is the Donkey Sanctuary!
Aruba’s donkeys have a safe home here - lots were abandoned when cars were introduced to the island and so they gathered roaming donkeys into this sanctuary. You can buy pellets from the owners to feed them or bring your own carrots. They love both!

Take time to pet them. They’re absolutely adorable! My teens loved these gentile animals so much and had a great time here.
4. Our final animal encounter is Phillips Animal Garden.
Go early to beat the heat! This sanctuary for exotic animals has goats, monkeys, a camel, birds, peacocks, and more. My teens had a great time!

This little monkey was so cute and we spent probably a half hour watching and interacting with him and the other monkey in the cage. They are so smart!

They have lots of little baby goats you can feed - this little guy got out of the pen so we were feeding it for a minute. If you are an animal fan - this is the place for you.

All of the animals are very comfortable around humans and most will interact with you. This camel rested his head on my son's shoulder! It was such a fabulous time - we spent probably an hour more than we thought we were going to be here.
Definitely check out these fun adventures on your next trip to Aruba!
