If you are planning a trip to the Scottsdale/Phoenix area with your teens here are two awesome adventures to add to your list, plus some travel tips that I have found to hopefully make your next trip a breeze!
1️⃣ Andretti Indoor Karting & Games in Glendale is amazing! Everyone in our group from ages 7 to 50 through the multi-level go-kart track with its fun turns made you feel like you were actually in Mario Kart!

They even have smaller cars & a track for younger kids! Afterward, you can grab a bite to eat, play some arcade games, and go bowling. It’s a perfect spot for a family day out.
2️⃣ Museum of Illusions in Scottsdale.

My teens had so much fun exploring each display, figuring out how the illusions worked, and taking tons of creative photos.

We spent about an hour and a half here having a great time. The area around it has other fun spots too, like the Butterfly Farm and the Aquarium, so you could easily spend a whole day exploring.

Pro tip: refuel at Johnny Rockets nearby!
Some other fun travel tips for your next AZ Adventure:
• Flying out of SLC? Park at The Parking Spot. We’ve been members since 2020, and it’s so easy to reserve a spot. Plus, you earn points for free stays! They send monthly deals, so I wait for a sale to book.
• Getting to AZ: Look for flight deals on Delta or Southwest. If you’re renting a car at PHX airport, the Sky Train takes you right to the rental car center—super quick. Just head down a level or two depending on your rental company. Easiest airport car rental ever!
• Where to stay: Arizona has amazing hotels, but we love timeshares for the full kitchen. We’re Marriott Vacation Club members and stayed at their Desert Ridge property in Scottsdale—it’s fantastic! You don’t need to be a member to book, so check it out. The pool is awesome, and the snack food is a hit with the kids.
